It didn’t take them long to arrive at the frozen pond, skates in tow, bundled up for the wonderful time ice skating. Others were already there, some clumsy, some more talented, skating along peacefully. Ven plopped in the snow, not even bothering to find a bench as he pulled on his skates.
"I’ve actually never done this before," he said as he tied one of the laces. "I just really wanted to try it."
╌╌ The excitement bubbled in the pit of her stomach, tingling her skin with sensation- even under the layers of winter wear. The rink was already filled with liveliness as they arrived in all their own practices. The two of them together found space outside to slip on their skate- luckily Serah had saved a pair in case and had never used them since, til now. The girl perked up from tying a loose end to listen to her friend under blush tinted bangs, deserting her optics briefly. “Hey Ven, it’s okay. Actually, I haven’t done this sort of thing myself either, So I guess were both newbies at it.”
He must be nervous, the thought sparked up for a moment. She leans forward to capture more of his face, scooting his way. “If you’re unsure you can hold onto my hand or arm for support, I don’t mind.” Serah flashes a beaming smile hoping it might sooth his worries for the while.
