"Hmm, maybe? If I was able to do it, there’s a chance that the monsters could have as well."
The whole concept of time travel and temporal space was so complex, he was unsure of where to even begin. One thing was certain— he had been given a task by Lightning, and he would do everything in his power to ensure that it was fulfilled should Serah accept. Admittedly, the very idea of pursuing an objective blindly stirred up apprehension. She had put all of her faith in him to find her sister and reunite the siblings. He could not fail her now.
If they investigated the area for the meteorite’s landing site, they would most likely discover the answers they both sought. Though, it was best that they took a rest first and gathered their bearings. Making sure the inhabitants were fine and that no monsters remained was also another priority.
Noel’s posture sank a bit. The sky continued to case a dark veil, it would be a lot easier to find the Artefact in the morning when sunlight was available. Continuing to put a strain on his body would only make him exhausted. Tonight, he would concentrate on shedding light on the matter, possibility even explain his history and the bleak future he lived in. The Goddess answered his wish to alter humanity’s fate. It was over, for now.
She turns her heel in the opposite direction, ready to head back- but she stops to look behind her shoulder the the man standing. “And once we get back, you can tell me about yourself like we mentioned before. Besides…after everything, you must be tired.” She fixes him with one of her friendly smiles, though notes mentally to prepare a nice drink for his efforts on the field and helping out so many of Bodhum’s citizens.
Serah’s house- joined with Snow’s and the rest of NORA, built in the heart of Bodhum’s safety region wasn’t hard to find, the lights were still on from when Serah had left to fight- the sight was a relief. Digits press against her fore head, feeling a small ache arise. It was unsure whether it was from the events that occurred so far or the horrid warm air that pulsed humidity, she wanted to shake off the feeling; soon they would be back home and resting.
