"I’m sure Lightning still cares about you," he reassured her. "She’s just not so good at expressing herself." Attempting to further console her, Ven leaned over, tilting his head to try and catch her eyes. Discomfort was no good after all.
Standing straight again, he focused on the next question. “I have a brother, but I didn’t know for a long time. I didn’t find out till right before I came here. He’s a lot like me, though we look totally different. We’d probably get along really well, if we’d only had a chance to talk.” Thoughtful eyes glanced up at the sky. Out there, in another world, was his brother.
"Though, aside from him, my friends Aqua and Terra are sort of like my family. They’ve always taken care of me." Pulling his gaze away from the sky, Ven focused on skating some more. They moved at such a slow pace they would surely be run over soon.
"What do ever miss home? Being out here…"
╌╌ “Y-You think so?”A pink strand was put back into place as her face stared upon his. She had never considered to just talk to her, the presence of her now intimidated the younger- her eldest sister was surely a soldier indeed, rubbing out any trace of her former self. Maybe Serah had overlooked such a thing, but it wasn’t so easy getting though her tough exterior. She’d have to acknowledge that whenever they met again.
She again silenced herself for his words, listening to them with extent. “Like a twin? I hope you’re able to get that chance, it seems that you are very well cared for.” Serah forced the tears back. She remembered at a very young age of her parents dying- Lightning being older by a few years having to take up the role of the parent, but it was never ever in their stead, ever. Nothing would ever replace the images of their parents. It must of been so difficult for her to be suddenly in charge of someone else’s life. “Me and Lightning. We didn’t have the opportunity of other people taking are of us.” Not that she was ever thankful of her older sister taking up the role. She was, she always was.
“You mean Bodhum? I do but, I like it here too. If I get the chance, I can always go back and talk about my adventures here.” The answer was split fifty fifty, it was a difficult one to say the least. The pink-haired again focused on her balance with the ice, dropping irises to the skates gliding over the frozen water. “Okay, hmmm~ What’s your home like? Your guardians must of raised you there right?”
